In this project, we successfully installed 40 pallets of Zeon Zoysia sod sourced from Super Sod, a trusted supplier with whom we’ve built a solid relationship over the years. Their consistent quality and reliable service made them our go-to choice for this endeavor. Zeon Zoysia was selected specifically for its remarkable adaptability. This grass thrives in the intense heat of the lower South while also enduring the cooler winters of the upper South.
Its notable shade tolerance, coupled with enhanced resistance to common diseases and insects compared to other thin-bladed Zoysias, makes it an ideal choice for a variety of landscapes. Beyond its functional benefits, Zeon Zoysia offers a soft, plush texture that contributes to a lush, inviting lawn that is easy to maintain.
Site Preparation and Improvements
To ensure the property was level and well-prepared for the sod installation, we brought in 200 tons of fill dirt. This not only helped in creating a stable foundation but also allowed us to address any uneven areas, setting the stage for a more visually appealing landscape.
We also constructed a 45-foot retaining wall, which plays a crucial role in preventing soil erosion and managing water runoff.
